Education

Roger received a Bachelor's degree in Business Admininstration from Illinois State University in 1980, and a Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law in 1983.

 

Experience

Roger B. Webber was admitted to practice in Illinois in 1984. He served as an Assistant Public Defender in Champaign County from 1984 to 1986, as the First Assistant State's Attorney in Douglas County from 1986 to 1990 and has been with the law firm presently know as Beckett & Webber, P.C. since that time. He became a principal in the firm in 1995.

His practice has been diverse with experience in Criminal law, Family law, Personal Injury, First Amendment and representing other attorneys before the ARDC. He is also admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the Federal Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit and United States District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of Illinois.

Roger has argued a First Amendment Case in the Illinois Supreme Court and presented to the First Amendment Lawyers Association on Ethics and Free Speech.
