Education
Lis graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2006. Prior to attending law school, she received her undergraduate degree in Government from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, where she graduated with honors in 2003.
Membership
Lis is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Champaign County Bar Association, the Illinois Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She is President of the East Central Illinois Womens' Attorneys Association and a member of the Criminal Justice Act panel for the Central District of Illinois. Lis is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois and the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Personal
A lifelong resident of Urbana, Lis attended University Laboratory High School from 1995-1999. She is now the head girls volleyball coach for her alma mater and enjoys playing volleyball in several leagues around the State of Illinois. When not at the office or in the gym, Lis enjoys spending time with her family and attending University of Illinois sporting events.
